A Pending CTP-E Holders and CTP-E Applicants Alert

The Ohio Board of Nursing worked with the state legislature on an amendment in Substitute House Bill 303 to Section 4723.482, ORC to assist pending Certificate To Prescribe (CTP-E) holders and applicants. The amendment became law on December 20, 2012.

The amendment makes an exception for pending CTP-E holders and CTP-E applicants who completed a 45-hour course of study in advanced pharmacology before December 20, ...

HB 303 was just signed by Governor Kasich.

It is now law. 

It contains the provisions related to the online course.

Physician Assistant Prescriptive Authority Legislation Passes!

Sub. HB 284, the Physician Assistant schedule II prescriptive authority bill has passed the Ohio General Assembly.   The bill will now proceed to the Governor for his signature.

House Bill 284 will then move to the Ohio Senate for consideration by that chamber.  It is important to note that the Senate Health, Human Services and Aging Committee has held hearings on a companion bill and is therefore familiar with provisions in the bill.

A Pending CTP-E Holders and CTP-E Applicants Alert

The Ohio Board of Nursing is currently working with the state legislature on an amendment in Substitute House Bill 303 to Section 4723.482, ORC to assist pending Certificate To Prescribe (CTP-E) holders and applicants. The Board is hopeful that this bill will become law shortly.  It is anticipated that this amendment will be effective on or before December 31, 2012.
