Analysis: Medicaid Expansion Fiscally Feasible

Ohio could spend less on Medicaid over the long term by expanding eligibility than it would if it takes no action on the program, a new analysis from Ohio State University and Health Policy Institute of Ohio suggests.

Presented before the Senate Finance: Medicaid Subcommittee Tuesday, the analysis asserts that changes to the program, like payment overhauls or quality improvements, could help “bend the cost curve,” making program expansion “feasible.” (Analysis) (Presentation)

As an APRN with a CTP (Certificate to Prescribe) you must complete 6 contact hours of instruction specific to schedule II controlled substances that meet the requirements set forth in Rule 4723-9-13, of the Ohio Administrative Code by August 31, 2013.  This is for all CTP holders, regardless of whether or not you plan to prescribe schedule II medications.  This instruction may be used toward meeting the ...

House Forms Committee To Study Prescription Drug Addiction

A newly formed House panel will spend the next month investigating Ohio’s prescription drug epidemic.

Rep. Robert Sprague (R-Findlay) will chair the Prescription Drug Addiction and Healthcare Reform Study Committee that is expected to meet from mid-August through mid-September, according to the chamber.
